I received an automatic text asking me to leave a review of my experience attending CSA in 2022. So here it is: I decided to go back to school for esthetics at thirty after having been a massage therapist for 10 years and after starting my own business. My time at CSA was the worst educational experience and environment I have ever encountered and it really made me appreciate my time at all other schools or continuing education courses that I have attended. Ms. Dita was the only reason I decided to not leave this school. She deserves so much credit for all that she does and puts up with. This school was definitely way too chaotic and stressful for a learning space and not fair to clients coming in for what should be a relaxing treatment. Many of my regular clients from my business came to see me during my time at CSA and they were not satisfied with the cleanliness of the school or with the amount of noise and lack of organization. I received the student of the year award so I applied myself and I made the best of what I was given to work with. I am so grateful for Ms. Dita and for all that she taught me but I am not proud to say that I attended CSA in Crystal Lake. As a small business owner it is difficult for me to leave a bad review but I spent way too much money to be this dissatisfied with my experience attending this school.

I went to CSA during the early stages of COVID and had a relatively good experience with my teachers in esthetics. She was phenomenal and really cared about her students, unfortunately she cannot carry the school. i had multiple unsavory experiences with the barber teacher Mr Alex. He is one of the most arrogant people i've ever encountered. He refused to wear masks when students were sent home for refusing. Also he blurted out in front of our classroom that our classmate (who was black) "can't fool anyone" with the wig she chose to wear. He also made comments regarding girls' weight. Also for esthetics they DO NOT teach you, airbrush makeup application or spray tanning or lash extensions, all of these lessons we spent a few minutes talking about and i was unable to use in a professional field. Sketchy school with a few good eggs but you're probably better off going to pivot point
