I am a licensed Educator in Indiana. According to OSHA one must wear gloves to remove hair from the body. Federal regulations trump state regulations every time. The same is true for double dipping - this is addressed in an OSHA regulation...in the medical/dental section.

I agree. Be aware of all the pitfalls of waxing. Stay sanitary and insist on maintaining the highest levels and standards for yourself and your situation to avoid disasters.

HOWEVER....I find it interesting that there is so much negative spotlighting on this practice. I would like to see scientific studies comparing and contrasting waxing related infection and diseases.

Well said! and it is a matter of training and educating people, when we contacted the NJ Cosmetology board in regards to Body Waxing Licensing was due to the fact that beauty schools offer very few hours on body waxing and no Bikini Waxing training and then people do not know what they are doing, this is why we are still in the fight to make Brazilian Waxing official in the State and to have regulations that line out all the sanitation requirements
