Ready to jump on the Honeysuckle bandwagon after reading that? Yep, we are, too. Pantone, “the world’s authority on color,” announced last month that this lively reddish-pink hue was the 2011 color of the year, and we are ready to bring it to bloom this spring.
Honeysuckle, which some may at first think is yellow, is a bright pink that the company says is “encouraging and uplifting,” which seems appropriate amidst our country’s economic and political turmoil this year.
“In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirits. Honeysuckle is a captivating, stimulating color that gets the adrenaline going—perfect to ward off the blues,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
Last year’s color, turquoise, is so 2010. Update your beauty and fashion routine with some Honeysuckle!
