Utah Board of Cosmetology License Information In order to obtain a license in cosmetology or nail technology in
the state of Utah, students must complete the requirements listed
below. Please contact the Utah Division of Occupational &
Professional Licensing for more information.
Requirements
Cosmetology: 2000 hours
Esthetics: 600 hours
Electrology: 600 hours
Nail Technology: 300 hours
Reciprocity
Granted to applicants from states with requirements which are substantially equal to those of Utah.
