At an electrolysis school, a student will learn the procedures and techniques for removing hair safely and efficiently using electricity. Classes are very strictly formulated to ensure that students have a thorough understanding of all Electrology practices and procedures. Currently, there's a huge demand for an electrolysis treatment across the country.
The educational program at electrolysis schools will include courses in eyebrow shaping, removing hairs from moles, changing the hair line, removing some hairs from thick beards on men, and relieving women of unwanted facial hair. Courses in such schools will teach students about the causes of unwanted hair and how to spot patterns of its growth. Specific training will be given students for proper use of antiseptics and needles. Because this training is so crucial, accredited electrolysis schools must meet the strict requirements of the American Electrology Association.
Upon completion of the required number of course hours(as determined by each state) the student may take the Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE) examination. Although the courses in electrology school will prepare the student thoroughly, passing the exam and getting certified shows a commitment to the profession that will be widely respected.
