Makeup Artistry

We offer a comprehensive three-part course that covers all aspects training for Makeup Artistry, Media Makeup, and Airbrushing for digital and HDTV. All three courses can be taken together consecutively over a four-day period or a la carte. If you are not a certified makeup artist you will need to complete the makeup artistry training course which covers all the fundamentals of professional make up artistry listed below. However, if you are a current makeup artist, cosmetologist, and/or esthetician that has completed their fundamentals in basic Makeup training, you may then elect to enroll in just the one (1) day advanced courses.

• Makeup Artistry Class (12 hours CE) training covers extensive color theory, understanding skin tones, blending, formulation, facial geometry, bone structure & facial shapes. This can be used for event makeup, Proms, day/evening, creating optical illusions with contouring/shadowing and camera ready makeup for children, women and men. Learn to apply professional make-up for yourself and others!

• *Media Makeup Training, Photography ( 8 hours CE) Media makeup application is very different then traditional makeup artistry and specific training is required that differs from a basic makeup course one may learn at a cosmetology school. HD cameras are capable of reading the slightest amount of streaking and speckling that might occur if using traditional makeup products and applications. Essentially Makeup Artists specializing in Media Makeup applications must be educated in all aspects of lighting and film. They must also be able to choose which makeup application is best for every media situation.

• *Airbrushing Digital/High Def (8 hours CE) Digital film and HDTV show every detail to the extreme and traditional makeup can and will look false and heavy . By applying micronized makeup that is dispensed in a fine mist via an airbrush gun will give your media clients invisible coverage and a flawless complexion which is suitable for any clients that are planning on being photographed or televised (Brides, models, beauty pageants, dance recitals, actors etc. Airbrushing can also save you time and money when performing makeup applications for larger groups of people you can complete an entire makeup application in as little as 15 minutes.

• **Bridal Makeup (8 hours CE) This full-day Bridal Make up course focuses on the beautiful bride - and wedding party - with special attention to skin tone, color theory, looking one's best when walking down the aisle and being photographed and videotaped. Modern preferences are emphasized, as well as bridal make-up application techniques that work for brides of different ages and fashion philosophies. From a big-city black tie extravaganza to a simple oceanfront ceremony, every bride deserves to look her best and this course will help you make sure she does.
