Academy of Hair Design is licensed by the
Nevada State Board of Cosmetology and accredited
by the National Accrediting Commission of
Cosmetology Arts & Sciences. In addition,
we are members of the National Association
of Cosmetology Schools.

that is right for you!
At the Academy of Hair Design, Las Vegas,
all courses are designed to meet the standards
of our state board of cosmetology. Each
of our courses are offered full or part-time
(except the Esthetician course, which is
only full-time). Explore the options below
to find the course that is right for you.
Cosmetology Course
(Approx. 1 year full-time)
This course includes Hair Designing, Cutting,
Perming, Straightening and Coloring using
Certified Learning in Cosmetology (CLiC)
techniques. Also, all phases of Manicuring,
Skin Care, and Salon Management.
Additional hours are spent in the classroom
before entering the floor to practice on
customers. The hair portion of the course
is taught by a simple to understand, yet
comprehensive approach. The sky is the limit
with this license you can do it all!
Manicuring Course
(Approx. 3 months full-time)
A minimum of 80 hours are spent in the classroom
before entering the floor for "hands on"
training. This course offers all phases
in nails, including manicuring, pedicuring,
wraps, extensions, gels and nail art.
 Hair
Designing Course (Approx. 7 months
full-time)
This course includes Hair Designing, Cutting,
Perming, Straightening and Coloring using
Certified Learning in Cosmetology (CLiC)
techniques. Salon Management techniques
are covered as well.
Esthetician Course
(Approx. 4 months full-time)
This course offers all phases of skin care
including various facials, back treatments,
masks, and hair removal techniques, day-time,
evening and stage make-overs are also included
in the program.
Teacher Training
(Approx. 12 months full-time)
The teacher trainee course provides the
student teacher with a well planned program
for preparation as a professional teacher
in the beauty industry.
