About the Academy
of Hair Design
The Academy of Hair Design is located inside
Northpark Mall in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
(in the southeast corner). Our academy is
serious about preparing beginning hairdressers
to be successful in their chosen career.
From customer service to business building
and from personal responsibility to the
finer technical skills of cutting and coloring
hair, our students will be ready to walk
into any fine salon with the knowledge and
ability to succeed from the start. The Academy
of Hair Design also offers advanced education
events.

The Academy of Hair Design is a contemporary
facility furnished with the best equipment,
a highly motivated staff, and the best educational
systems to provide our students with a fast-paced,
innovative, inspiring and first class educational

 History
The Academy of Hair Design was born out
of a necessity to provide beginning hair
designers with the skills necessary to begin
their career and to be successful as a professional
hair designer.
As the owners of a respected salon chain,
Duncan Bros. Salon, we realized the need
for better, more comprehensive training
at the beginning levels. We developed an
in-salon educational program that required
every new staff member to attend and pass
as a qualification to perform services on
salon clients.
Our program has been extremely successful.
However, the salon staffing requirements
have grown to a point that it is no longer
practical or productive to continue basic
training in the salon. Now, with years of
experience in successfully developing hair
designers with profitable careers, we invite
you to share in our experience. Come learn

Education at the
Academy of Hair Design
Courses
The Academy of Hair Design offers a Basic
Cosmetology program to individuals seeking
to become licensed within the field of Hairdressing.
The Academy recognizes and develops an individual's
potential, thus producing qualified hairdressers
invested in the concept of hair fashion.
The Basic Cosmetology course is designed
to introduce and guide beginner students
in the areas of modern haircutting, coloring
and hairdressing, as well as esthetics and
manicuring. These techniques are taught
to challenge students to meet and exceed
the state-required level of cosmetology.
Instructors
At The Academy of Hair Design, we take education
seriously and will offer only the best instruction
for our students. Our instructors are well-trained,
successful hairdressers at the top of their
game. They have been uniquely prepared by
educational courses with Vidal Sassoon Academy
and Toni and Guy Academy, two of the very
best in the hair design business. They are
also required to participate in a continuing
education program three times a year, which
keeps them at the forefront of the industry,
learning new techniques and progressing
in their field.

Training Techniques
The Academy of Hair Design has chosen two
of the most recognized and respected educational
companies in the field of hairdressing to
provide the educational resources necessary
to offer the most advanced training possible
to the student. Haircutting techniques from
Vidal Sassoon and coloring techniques from
Toni & Guy are utilized by our instructors.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition is affordable, and we offer low
monthly payment plans that extend out as
long as 32 months to students that qualify.
Funding is available through the United
Urban Indian Council. No other government
financial aid is available at this time.
Student Loans
Student Loans are available through SLM
Financial, a Sallie Mae company. Loans are
granted based on individual credit ratings
with co-signing as an option. Twelve month
deferral is available with the commitment
to pay only $10 a month. Applicants may
also apply for a loan of up to $6000 in
additional living expenses. For more information
