Programs
Each of our programs encompasses three types of learning:

• Theoretical knowledge, the foundation of your education

Each phase of your education will emphasize a different combination of these approaches.

Cosmetology
Express your creativity and talent in hair, skin, and nail care and makeup application. Our Cosmetology School Course incorporates extensive hands-on learning to provide you a complete understanding of beauty and wellness. Upon completion, you'll be prepared for a career as a hair stylist or technician, makeup artist or as an aspiring salon owner.

Esthetics
Prepare for an exciting future in skin care and makeup with the Brown Aveda Institute. Our Esthiology School curriculum provides skin care training with an emphasis on using pure flower and plant essences in treatments. Upon completion, you'll be ready to succeed as a licensed esthetician or makeup artist.

Student Services
Housing
Brown Aveda Institute, an Aveda School, can assist students in finding suitable housing and roommates, but does not own or operate student housing.

Placement
Brown Aveda Institute is part of the Aveda School Program and supports a network of many salons and spas nationwide. We will be happy to help you begin your professional career. We'll help you gain the knowledge you need with the biannual career fairs, career days and self-promotional instruction. Nonetheless, Brown Aveda Institute is an institution of learning and does not guarantee job placement.

Academic and Individual Counseling
Brown Aveda Institute provides academic counseling to all students. We will help you with tutoring should you experience challenges in meeting the minimum performance standards and course requirements as set by Brown Aveda Institute and the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology.

Student Activities
While at the Institute, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events and activities that are educational, interesting and just plain fun. Student Celebration: A graduation ceremony that marks the end of your training. Selected students are recognized for their exceptional grades and attendance.
