B-Unique Barber Academy has 2 locations
in South Carolina. Our Greenville campus
is located in the Pleasantburg shopping
Plaza off Atrium Drive & Laurens Road, behind
Great Escape and Earshot Disc and Tapes.
Our Spartanburg campus is located in the
Westgate Mall next to Belks.
We offer day/night classes and part time
classes.
B-Unique Barber Academy DOES NOT accept
Financial Aid. We do accept funding
from One Stop, V.A. (Veterans Affairs) and
Vocational Rehabilitation.
B-Unique Barber Academy, one of the only
schools of its type within a 100 mile radius,
was founded with a vision to help future
Barbers achieve their goal of becoming a
part of the barbering industry.
Our mission entails developing knowledgeable,
responsible individuals and enhance each
student's earning potential by using the
skills learned in barbering.
A job placement center is forth coming to
provide newly skilled professionals with
a comfy transition into their new careers.
We offer free hair cuts to participants
in local organizations. This helps the community
and enhances student's skills. Many organizations,
including but not limited to Coalition for
Fatherhood, SHARE, Salvation Army, Greenville
Housing Authority, Latch Key Kids, Redemption
World Outreach and Shepard's Heart Ministry
use our services.

a sincere desire to develop the skills necessary
to be successful in this business, your

Instructors
Shanita Peppers
Owner of B-unique Barber Academy and Founder
of Martha Anna Mae Foundation, Shanita Peppers
has many years of experience in the field
of Cosmetology, Nails, Barbering and Instructing.
Her expectation of her students is as high
as her instructors' expectations were of
her. She encourages them to set immediate
and long-term goals. While training her
students, Peppers emphasizes that this career
is about more than cutting or styling. Personal
development, business management, effective
social and interpersonal skills are essential.
"This business is evolving", she tells them.
"A Barber or Barber-Stylist who doesn't
respect their client's time and doesn't
notice the signals that they send when changes
are warranted will become frustrated in
this or any other business." Often Barber-Stylist
think that because they are self employed
they can do things their way. Peppers teaches
them that though they are self-employed,
they work for their clients.
Financial Aid
At B-Unique we strive to help those in need
of financial assistance. We will point you
to resources that may offer grants or loans
to qualified students.
