The School

Our heartfelt mission is to welcome and embrace our esteemed student body into the creative and inspirational world of spa and beauty. We endeavor to locate the artist resident within each unique student and foster an immensely stimulating learning environment. Our passionate mandate is to develop graduates who will represent Boca Beauty Academy with grace, dignity, and the highest level of ethical conduct in our global community. We are serious about instituting environmentally sensitive practices and avoiding any products tested on animals. As such, Boca Beauty Academy maintains a Certified Green Salon/Spa. We specialize in providing quality education in the following programs: Nail Technology, Skin Care, Microdermabrasion, Cosmetology, Instructor Training, Makeup Artistry, Massage Therapy, and Permanent Makeup.

Our waterfront campus is located in the "Beverly Hills of the Southeast" here in sunny Boca Raton, south Florida directly off the Florida Turnpike, a few blocks from the world renowned Town Center Mall and 30 miles from exotic South Beach. We strongly encourage out-of-state applicants and international students to visit our campus. We are authorized by SEVIS to grant student VISAS (M-1). Boca Beauty Academy has a long and distinguished history in Spa and Beauty education. Our graduates are aggressively recruited each year for roles in elite salons and spas throughout the globe as well as in Dermatologists, Chiropractors, Plastic Surgeons, Medi-Spas, and Resorts. Our innovative teaching methodology encompasses an intensive theoretical foundation coupled with a high energy, interactive learning environment.

Our students are special to us. They are a reflection of our teaching ability and our reputation depends on their future success and their work habits. We recognize that each student is unique and learn at different speeds and we adjust our approach to each student's needs to mentor them carefully and sensitively. We take a great deal of pride in our graduates and this pride is reflected in our ongoing alumni network and our active job placement program.

Cosmetology

Our students regularly compete in statewide and national stylist competitions and set the standard for the industry in contemporary skills such as hair extensions and straightening. The primary objective of the cosmetology curriculum is to prepare students for the Licensing Examination to become licensed cosmetologists. Students completing the Cosmetology program and passing the state examination will be able to work in beauty salons, resort hotels, cruise ships, or have the opportunity to own their own salon.

Skin Care

We proudly utilize only the finest skin care products such as Pevonia and Dermalogica which are hypoallergenic and non-comodegenic. Graduates are finding a strong market for their skills in Dermatologist, Medi-Spas, and Plastic Surgeons' offices. The objective of this program is to provide complete training in the field of skin care. Upon successful testing and completion of their program, students will receive a Diploma and be registered for licensure. A skin care professional's opportunities include; Skin Care Operator or Manager, Skin Care Consultant or Technician or owning their own salon.

Permanent Makeup

This represents one of the most rapidly growing and lucrative areas within the beauty sector. Our Permanent Makeup course is taught by Board Certified educators. It is licensed and insured and overseen by a supervising physician (M.D.). Our Supervising Physician periodically reviews and inspects our techniques, procedures, and equipment including, but not limited to, infection control, sterilization, and emergency procedures. Our classes are kept small to foster a highly participative, hands-on clinical environment. The course is run for 5 consecutive days for 50 hours. At the conclusion, you will receive a Diploma.

Permanent Makeup is an extremely rewarding field. Most individual services command between $300 and $600 apiece. You will find abundant job opportunities in Plastic Surgery offices, Dermatology Practices, Salons, Day Spas, or as a Sole Practitioner.

As an official MAC makeup school, we also offer a comprehensive suite of Make-up Artistry courses as a compliment to the Permanent Makeup Course. Areas of Makeup artistry covered include Airbrushing/Photography, Ethnic Skin, Color Theory, and Media Makeup.

Nail Technician

We are an OPI school- the finest nail products in the world. The objective of this program is to provide complete training in the field of Nail Technology and prepare for final testing. Upon successful testing and completion of their program, students will receive a certificate and be registered for licensure. A registered Nail Technician will find work in beauty and nail salons, day spas, cruise ships, resort-hotels or in owning their own salon.

Massage Therapy

In the Massage Therapy program at Boca Beauty Academy, you'll learn important basics in Pathology, Anatomy, Physiology and Kinesiology, as well as Business Ethics, and Medical Errors. Every student at Boca Beauty Academy is unique. So our instructors will work with you to help you develop your strengths. When you decide to learn at Boca Beauty Academy, you're deciding to learn in an innovative and creative environment, one that will inspire and nurture you. You will also learn many popular massage techniques such as: Hot Stone Massage, Shiatsu Massage, Prenatal Massage, and Deep Tissue Massage, among many others. We utilize only the finest Biotone products.

Electrolysis

Our Doctor-approved Electrolysis program is taught in a serene, scenic lakeside environment. Our Educator has been a Licensed Electrologist for almost 30 years practicing successfully in physicians' offices in South Florida. The curriculum will provide comprehensive training in permanent hair removal. Removal of excessive hair growth is a rapidly expanding area within the health and beauty sector. Licensure in Electrolysis is a prerequisite to obtaining certification for Laser Hair Removal.

Students practice in a clinical environment using sophisticated equipment. Modern short-wave, blend, and multiple galvanic methods are taught in small intimate class settings, typically no larger than 5 to 10 students. Upon graduation, our students will receive a Diploma and are qualified to apply for licensure from the Department of Health.

Scholarships

A limited number of Scholarships will be granted each year by the Boca Beauty Academy. Scholarships will be granted on the basis of financial need and will be determined in the sole discretion of the Boca Beauty Academy.

Applications for such scholarships will be made via the following process:

• On-site student visit to our academy located here in Boca Raton, Florida.
• Scholarship application form is completed and submitted to our Educational Director.
• A personal Interview is conducted with the Chairman of the Boca Beauty Academy.
• Decision Process- A determination as to scholarship eligibility will be made within 3 to 5 business days after the interview date.

Enrollment

We maintain an open enrollment process. Our course offerings offer new student enrollment for classes on a monthly basis.

Classes do, however, book up quite rapidly so interested new students are encouraged to register as far in advance as possible to secure their desired start date.
