We Are The Branford Academy of Hair & Cosmetology,
LLC brings world-class education and training
to the Connecticut shoreline. Branford Academy
offers a comprehensive, progressive education
in the basics of hairdressing and cosmetology,
while actually being in an actual salon

whom is also the Owner of the popular DLeonardi
Hair Nail & Skin Studio LLC. She created
the Academy to provide students with an
alternative to the existing, limited educational
opportunities in Connecticut. More importantly,
she hopes to pass along the keys of her

What
You'll Learn The course of study includes classroom education
and hands-on-training. Classes, taken either
full or part-time, prepare students to apply
for a Connecticut license in Hairdressing,
Cosmetology and Barbering. The first sections
focus on the theoretical aspects of all
content areas. The remaining hours are devoted
to both theory and practical experience.
Each morning for the first hour of school,
we review our theory work books and for
the remainder of the day each student works
on clients. The hands on training includes
cutting, foiling, perming, shampooing, coloring
and so on.
Who Should Apply Branford Academy offers educational
opportunity to anyone interested in a career
in hairdressing and cosmetology. New classes
begin the first of each month. We encourage

cosmetology.
Curriculum
- The total curriculum shall not exceed
the requirements set forth by the Connecticut
State Board of Cosmetology.
- The first part of the program will
be on the theory of hairdressing and practical
only on the mannequins and/or fellow students.
- The remaining part of the program will
be dedicated to supervised practice associated
with ongoing theory and practical association.
