Our goal is to train and prepare students in the old fashioned art of barbering, so they can enter into the professional confidence and understanding. Starting with old school basics will help meet the modern needs of today's society as a professional barber.

Bull Locks Barber Academy will provide you with techniques and methods that, with practice, you will gradually master in your new career as a barber. You will be introduced to a whole new world of creative expression, tehnical skills, and human relation techniques that will be enhanced continually as you spend time working in the professional. You will learn from real-life barbers and instructors who will share their skills and experiences with you.

To attain this goal, we have implemented time-proven "hands on" training under the supervision of liscensed barber instructors. In the school environment we duplicate the responsibilties and working conditions that students will face as a liscensed barber. Instructors are always always available to answer questions as they areise and to guide students through new tasks and techniques.

A combination of talent, extensive teaching and barbership experience enables modern real-world barbershop experience to be applied on a daily basis. As a result, students are not only taught how to cut and style hair, but how to apply barbering to actual experiences such as working in or owning a barbershop.

Specialized Skills & Instruction
Technical skills are significant in setting standards for the success of a barber. Bull Locks Barber Academy prides itself in teaching both traditional and modern techniques that have been overlooked by many other schools. The technical ability to use scissor over comb and razor cutting methods as well as the removal of clipper guards helps students become more well-rounded in their hair-cutting proficiency.

Curriculum

The 1500 clock hour course required for graduation takes 10 months to complete for full-time students who attend 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. Part-time schedules are available on a limited basis. Evening classes are available. You will learn state board requirements to attain your barber liscense as well as advance education in the following:

Men's Hair Cutting

• Other Facial Hair Trims

DUO License Program Curriculum

This program is designed for cosmetologists with an active license to attain a barber license. The 120 clock hour course required for graduation is broken down to 90 clock hours of shaving and 30 clock hours of advanced men's haircutting. You will learn state board requirements to attain your barber license.

Upon graduation, our atmosphere of learning will cultivate professional students and prepare them for other areas in the industry such as Networking, client interaction, product support and knowledge, interview and job placement, and the Theory applied to Professional Barbering.
