 About Our School

At Cestar College of Business, Health and Technology, located at the Toronto Centre campus, we offer students three course options to prepare them for a professional career in the beauty industry. Taught by our professional and motivated staff, our unique courses include Laser Technician, Medical Aesthetics and Skin Care Technician.

Students study in small class sizes and an environment that is conducive to their learning, so that upon completion, they have a full understanding of the skills and techniques employers are looking for. At the Toronto Centre campus, we prepare our students with a set of applications and practices that are utilized daily in the industry.

Our Programs

We offer three different certificate courses so that you can choose the path that interests you most! All three medical aesthetics courses use modern cosmetic treatments used in the growing spa industry today.

A profession in the beauty industry begins with picking the right course for you:

• Laser Technician- Learn how to use some of the latest laser skin technology used for treatments such as laser hair removal. Courses will cover topics like hair anatomy and growth stages, treating different skin types, hair removal, laser equipment and comprehension, and client consultations.

• Medical Aesthetics- Become competent in techniques like skin resurfacing, which smoothes fine lines and wrinkles as well as stimulates collagen and elastin growth. Participate in classes that cover topics such as: acne treatments, spider vein removal, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and photorejuvenation.

• Skin Care Technician- Gain an understanding of modern skin care treatments with our Skin Care Technician Certificate. Students will explore topics such as: European facials; lymphatic drainage; facial/decolte massage; peels, scrubs and acids; and epidermabrasion.

• Esthetician- Our Esthetics program covers important topics to prepare students for the exciting spa and salon industry! Program courses include nutrition, physiology of the skin, sterilization and sanitation, human anatomy and physiology, and disorders and diseases of the skin. Students can also gain hands-on experience with manicures and pedicures, makeup application, skin care treatments, hair removal procedures, and facials. Curriculum is presented in a blend of classroom instruction, discussions, demonstrations, assignments and practical opportunities. Upon completion of our esthetics program, students can prepare for a variety of opportunities in spas and salons.
