Academy trained designer (courses taught
in Spanish only), you've opened the door
to a world of career options - full or part-time.
You could work in a salon and even eventually
own your own. You could be a platform artist
for a worldwide hair care corporation. Or
on the set of a movie styling hair. There
are also opportunities as sales representatives
for world-renowned products. And some people
return to the classroom after they graduate
to teach. From cruise ships and photography
studios to salons and the entertainment
industry, only a proper education can give

exciting areas.

 Courses
Cosmetology Course
At Colleen O’Hara’s, we are committed to
your success. That is why we offer classes
in both English and Spanish – so you can
learn in the language that is most comfortable
for you. The objective of the Cosmetology
Course is to develop in the student the
practical skills, theoretical knowledge,
and professional attitudes necessary for
success in the profession and to qualify
and equip the student to pass the California
State Board licensing examination. After
the graduate has successfully passed their
state board exam, they are qualified to
work as a licensed cosmetologist in any
licensed facility in the state of California.
They may cut hair, perform hair styling,
perform all phases of manicuring, apply
make up and give skin care (within the scope
of the license) for profit.
Approximately 270 hours (17%) of the course
time is devoted to technical instruction,
which consists of various learning activities
in a classroom situation. The balance of
the course time is devoted to practical
operations, in which students develop and
practice cosmetology skills under the supervision
of licensed instructors in actual working
conditions.

Point method of cosmetology.
