Overall experience was Ok, didn’t learn much hands on experience for being a starter in the industry, the entire curriculum was all over the place and was pretty much learn it on your own. Did hope it prepared you better, and to have the ability to leave the school with confidence. Definitely feel like the money coulda been better spent elsewhere to learn how to be a barber, starting kit that was overpriced in our student loans was a rip off for the equipment we received and thats if we even received some of our stuff.

The class sizes are small, 9% of the learning is hands-on and our instructors are veteran professionals. Upon completion of your program at Cosmetology & Spa Academy, you should be prepared to take the Illinois state board exam. Once you pass your exam, you can be on your way into the exciting world of beauty. We also provide resume building assistance, keep an active job board, write letters of recommendation, host job fairs and provide financial aid for those who qualify.
Did we mention our institute has some added perks? Students are offered free parking, student lounges with dispensaries, student lockers and a free 1-inch tablet. Also, undergraduates who have reached 6 hours may receive one free or discounted beauty salon service per week!
