Cosmetology Program Course Overview
The cosmetology curriculum at THE DELAWARE ACADEMY - A Paul Mitchell Partner School is designed to prepare our students for a career in the professional salon industry.

THE COSMETOLOGY PROGRAM features design, cutting, coloring, multicultural techniques, makeup, fashion trends, and the art of hairdressing in a three-phase program we call CORE, ADAPTIVE, and CREATIVE. In CORE, you’ll learn the basics that will let you confidently begin working with guests. ADAPTIVE builds on the first phase and adds time management, professional service and retailing skills, and the art of successful communication. The final phase, CREATIVE, takes you through advanced hairdressing and chemical work.

Enrollment Information
Enrollment Requirements
To enroll in the cosmetology or instructor program, you must be at least 16 years of age and be a high school graduate with diploma or have a GED. Applicants for the instructor program must also have an active cosmetology license.

Financial Aid
One of our objectives is to help all of our students meet their educational costs. We will assist students in organizing their efforts for funding education. An assortment of private financing programs are available to qualifying students. When you attend your guided tour and personal interview with the Admissions Leader, we will provide you with the necessary applications so you can best determine which program suits your needs.
