A
Great Team Eastern Arizona Academy of Cosmetology and
Eastern Arizona College are working together
to provide an affordable and top quality
Cosmetology program. Our instructors, with
over 29 years of salon experience, will
work with many outside educators to thoroughly
provide "the basics" to give a well rounded
education in Cosmetology to each student. Our program will prepare you for state certification
in 10 ½ months of training and will earn
you a 44 credit Certificate of Proficiency
in Cosmetology from Eastern Arizona College.
These 44 college credit hours can also be
applied toward an Eastern Arizona College
Associate of Applied Science Degree. At the Academy, we have a firm belief in
supplying our students with as much knowledge
as possible. At least once a month we try
to bring in an outside educator to demonstrate
other skills and techniques for our students.
Some of the educators that have come into
our school in the past include, Redken,
Paul Mitchell, Clairol, Fantastic Sams,
Lisap, and Wella. We also host speakers
who focus on the business aspects of the
salon. Is Cosmetology
Right for Me? This program will be intense training with
some of the most updated and modern technology
and teaching procedures. Before you decide
if it is the right choice for you, we suggest
you visit some salons and schools. We encourage
you to talk to working stylists about their
careers in the beauty industry. Once you
have decided to pursue a career in the exciting
field of Cosmetology, please contact us
to enroll while space is still available.
How
do I enroll? Interested students must apply for acceptance
into the program. Enrollment is handled
through The Academy of Cosmetology. Classes
start two times a year - in the months of
August and January. Our classes fill up
quickly, so contact us early to begin the
enrollment process. Scholarships Because The Academy is affiliated with Eastern
Arizona College, we honor any scholarships
that a student might be receiving from E.A.C.
Any student interested in applying for scholarships
can do so by contacting their individual
high school counselor or the scholarship
office at E.A.C. Fees In order to receive credit from E.A.C.,
a student must register and pay all tuition
and course fees to Eastern Arizona College.
The cost of the program has been divided
into two semesters, Fall and Spring. Fees
that are due for either Fall or Spring semester
are to be paid for by the first day of class.
