Welcome

Welcome to Medix School - West's award winning Cosmetology Arts and Sciences and Aesthetics Skincare programs! We have won an award from Maryland Higher Board of Education.  Also throughout the Medix company.  Our comprehensive training courses focus on providing students with a solid foundation in professional business skills as well as a challenging, creative, hands-on cosmetology education.

Cosmetology

In our Cosmetology Arts and Sciences program, students are taught through valuable hands-on experience in hairstyling, hair shaping, coloring, texturing, skin and makeup, manicures, pedicures, and nail extensions. Students are also trained in career-specific knowledge, such as safety procedures and appropriate work habits. After graduation, students will be prepared to take their state board of cosmetology exam for licensure.

At the conclusion of their course, our students should display strong communication, decision-making and analytical skills to provide the best service to their clients.  We offer Cosmetology Arts and Sciences that will give you the knowledge and skills to pursue careers in this satisfying field, where each day you help others look and feel their very best!

Aesthetics

Medix West Aesthetics skin care program is a 600 hour program.  Graduates will have a solid understanding of the structure and function of the skin, chemistry, electricity, product ingredients, makeup, color analysis, and mask and spa therapies, besides hair removal.  Graduates will be prepared to sit for a state board licensure and be prepared for entry-level posistions in the following: salons, spas, cruise ships, resorts and medical facilities.
