Skin Care as a Career
The aging of the general population,
coupled with ever increasing affluence and
the strong emphasis society places on looking
good, have all combined to provide explosive
growth in the Skin Care/Facial Specialist
field. People trained to provide the specialized
services of this profession are generally
called Estheticians. Our up-to-the-minute
training program is structured to provide
our students with the very latest information
on the Skin and its Care and to train them
how to perform the latest - most in demand
- Procedures and Services.
We are equipped with the newest - most modern
equipment on the market, including High
Frequency, Galvanic and Micro-Dermabrasion
machines, enabling us to train our students
how to provide electronic therapy treatments,
as offered in the most prestigious and up-to-date
spas, salons and medical facilities.
Our program of study concentrates on the
following areas:
- Anatomy and Physiology of the face,
head and neck
- Facial massage and toning
- Infection control, sanitation and sterilization
- Nutrition, skin analysis and cleansing
- Skin disorders and therapies for their
treatment
- Skin peels and Micro-Dermabrasion
- Facial treatments, makeup techniques
and superfluous hair removal
- Training in the use of the latest and
most sophisticated electronic equipment
- Body Wraps
- Chemistry and analysis of skin care
products
- Client consultation and preparation
- Professionalism, salesmanship, business
training and Florida Law
Students can complete this intensive training
program at our school, which is licensed
by the Florida Department of Education,
in as little as 10 weeks.
We offer both day and evening classes, which
meet Monday through Friday plus a part-time
program that meets 2-3 times per week. New
classes begin every 5 to 6 weeks.
Upon graduation, our students receive a
Florida State Registration without taking
a State Board Examination.
