It’s been enough time now after graduation that I feel safe enough to tell the truth about this school. Beyond the disorganization of the teachers and admin staff, this school is a disaster. They threaten to kick students out if you raise an issue such as constantly broken school machines. And to those that don’t speak up against these issues are pulled to the side and told they will be rewarded a scholarship if they decide to take on the more expensive program or join massage therapy or promised a job as a teacher. (How is this not conflict of interest?)This school is basically one big circle of scam. From the head administrators sleeping around, even in the office. To some teachers teaching techniques as old as time that are invalid in the real work world. Not only is it a hostile environment for the students but the staff as well. I have personally witness on numerous occasions head admin scold staff in front of students. It is a horribly sad thing that I have shelled out almost $20,000 for program that was barely taught to begin with. On top of having numerous changes in staff (they constantly fire and hire) the machines are always not working, the products are expired and the school refuses to get in enough supplies to last. Why are our main supplies not stocked up but the owner is driving a brand new car. Anyways please please avoid this school if you really want to learn and be in a healthy environment. Some people worth mentioning that are great are Miss Eve. She is the diamond in the rough at Cortiva and they are beyond blessed to have her. You rock miss Eve.

Basic teacher Ms.Marlene, is amazing! She actually cares bout her students and actually wants to teach us! She treats us like we are her own kids, and her energy is amazing! She motivates me to come to school and learn more.

I enjoy attending Cortiva institute and one of my reasons would be because of my instructor Ms. Marlene. She has established a positive classroom atmosphere, along with helping you get ready for what to expect in the esthetics world.
