Graham Webb Academy offers a variety of
courses to accommodate both the beginning
cosmetologist and the licensed professional
seeking to improve his or her technique,
explore new industry trends, or integrate
European mannerisms and ideas into day-to-day
work habits. We want you to be the best
that you possibly can be.
About Us
Graham Webb employs a staff of well-respected
professionals, each of whom has been trained
according to exact standards. Our international
artistic team travels around the world,
particularly throughout Europe, Japan, Australia,
Canada, and the United States, conducting
shows, seminars, and teach-ins, demonstrating
innovative hairdressing fashions and techniques.
Mission
The Academy is student-oriented, with the
goal of producing a higher caliber of professional
cosmetologist and hairdresser. We use only
approved teaching techniques and training
aids and purchase high quality equipment
and supplies for student use.
Location
The new 18,000 square-foot Graham Webb Academy
provides the Washington, D.C. area with
its newest university of cosmetology arts
& sciences. We are pleased to introduce
our 4,500 square-foot aesthetics facility
located in the same building.
The Graham Webb Academy is conveniently
located between Washington National Airport
and Dulles International Airport. We are
also accessible to the Baltimore-Washington
International Airport. Graham Webb Academy
is two blocks from the Rosslyn Metro stop.
Equipped with the latest enhancements in
sound projection and lighting technology,
our Academy is able to serve all your education
needs. The school is not only attractive,
but it is a practical and functional educational
facility, outfitted to accommodate handicapped
students, with easy access to public transportation
(subway, cab, bus.)

BEGINNER
COSMETOLOGY
The Graham Webb Academy beginner course
of study is designed not just to prepare
students to pass any state board examination,
but more importantly, to teach our students
to be confident and competent hairstylists.
The course includes theory as well as practical
application instruction. In order to enable
you to accommodate your clientele and successfully
recommend styles and design looks to suit
the individual, studies include all aspects
of hair design, body and face shapes, as
well as courses in salesmanship, psychology,
professional ethics, and public relations.
Our British and American instructors teach
cutting, styling, coloring, lightening,
and perming techniques that are precise,
fast, innovative, exciting and applicable
in the salon. Instructors cover client awareness,
the science of hair, and selling techniques
that will bolster your profitability in
and out of the salon. We train our students
to be aware of their clients and themselves.
ADVANCED COSMETOLOGY
The Graham Webb Advanced courses are exclusively
for licensed professionals. We have an international
reputation for our dynamic courses that
will teach you, the hair professional, the
latest techniques and the most modern applications
for today's contemporary marketplace. Our
courses are ever evolving to keep up with
the latest trends.

BEGINNER
AESTHETICIAN COURSE
This program uses theory instruction, practical
exercises, and clinic experiences to give
students a solid foundation in the basic
concepts of aesthetics. Along with aesthetic
concepts and basic skills, students will
learn the regulations associated with the
aesthetics industry. In this course, you
will learn the following procedures:
- Manual Facials
- Machine Facials
- Makeup
- Waxing
- Body Wraps
- Body Treatments (mud wrap, paraffin,
exfoliation)
- Galvanic current facials
- High-frequency facials
- Skin diagnosis
- Special Occasion Makeup
MASTER AESTHETICIAN COURSE
This program builds on our Aesthetician
program and uses theory instruction, practical
exercises, and clinic experiences to give
students a solid foundation in advanced
aesthetics principles and practices. Along
with aesthetic concepts and advanced skills,
students will learn the regulations associated
with the aesthetics industry. In this course,
you will learn the following procedures:
- Manual Facials
- CardioPulmonary Resuscitation Certification
- Microdermabrasion
- Salon Management
- Principles of Medical Professional Interaction
- Lymph Drainage Manual/Machine
- Skin Treatments Using Advanced Mechanical
and Electrical Devices
- Chemical Exfoliatoin
- Waxing
- Makeup
Prerequisite for the Master Aesthetician
Course: 600-hour Aesthetician course or
a 600-hour license from another state.
