The Hair Experts Barber School
A Member of The Salon Schools Group 4390 Karl Road
Columbus,
OH 43224
Our
School
Our Karl Road school is located
in North Columbus near the intersection
of Karl and Morse Roads. This expansive
facility was the first in Ohio designed
and built expressly to be a cosmetology
school and a barber school. Our busy clinic
ensures plenty of practice on actual clients.
A Career You Can
Live With!
Barbering is generally regarded as one of
the oldest professions known to man. For
many years men patronized beauty salons
in order to receive full service. Today,
barber trends are turning back to offering
such services as facials and shaves and
men are returning to their neighborhood
barber shops to receive these treatments
in addition to precision hair cuts. A recent
study found that barbers had the longest
professional longevity of any profession.
If you enjoy working with people and are
interested in a career that offers a lifetime
of personal freedom, economic stability,
creativity and fun - barbering may be just
what you are looking for!
Our
Program
The Hair Experts Barber School teaches all
aspects of the barber profession, from Flat
Tops, Princetons, modern razor styling and
blow drying, to time honored skills of foamy
shaves and steamy facials. Although the
program includes facials, shaving, massage,
hair color and permanent waving, its focus
is on hair cutting. Barbers can cut hair
like no one else! Long hair, short, designs
and styling are part of this interesting
program which produces true "Hair Experts"!
You'll begin practicing on clients in our
busy clinic from the beginning weeks of
the course under the expert guidance of
licensed barber teachers. As the course
progresses, you'll develop a variety of
techniques, increase cutting speed and learn
to provide a precision-perfect service.
Your Future
Our goal is to provide the training necessary
for you to complete the course, pass the
State of Ohio examination, obtain a Barber
License, and possess the knowledge and skills
needed to work in, manage, or own a barber
shop. There is a real shortage of trained
professionals in the barber industry and
a well-trained graduate can expect many
job offers!
