Welcome to Hastings Beauty School
HBS moved in 2005 and is located in our new home in a historic building on the Mississippi River 17 miles south of St. Paul, Minnesota. We have 8,000 square feet with the latest in salon equipment and fixtures. The staff is experienced and has served the students with love and enthusiasm for many years. We teach the full range of techniques with many different kinds of products and tools. We serve students from Wisconsin and Minnesota, offering options for either a Minnesota or Wisconsin license.

At HBS we pride ourselves on the success of our students. HBS graduates go on to work in all areas of cosmetology. The full range of salons awaits our graduates, and many go on to open their own salons. We stress the importance of technique and attitude and how they play an important role in building successful careers.

Classes & Coursework
HBS classes are generally small and emphasize individual attention. Specialized, advanced workshops are available throughout the term. These workshops focus on developing advanced skills and studying exotic trends. All students receive personalized attention that guarantees HBS graduates leave with strong confidence in their technical abilities and range of knowledge.

We insist on having fun. Cosmetology is a career full of opportunities in an industry that is driven by creative and energetic people.

Jobs
Most HBS students have job offers prior to completion and licensing. Students are given an understanding of common pay structures and time is dedicated to visiting metro area salons. HBS graduates have gone on to work in nearly every salon in the metro area. We have a great reputation and a strong hiring relationship with area salons. The variety of salons is great and at HBS we graduate students and we explain the differences and your options, showing you the path to your success. Today we have many HBS graduates who have gone on to open their own salons and newer graduates sometimes go on to work for prior graduates.
