Cosmetology
We believe our cosmetology curriculum is one of the most complete and full-service programs available. The course prepares you to become a cosmetologist, manicurist, pedicurist, platform artist, makeup artist, salon owner, salon manager, colorist and manufacturer salesperson or representative.

Just like any art form, having the materials is important, but how you use the materials is what makes the difference. Spa Tech Institute™ is the only school in Maine that offers the world renowned Pivot Point educational system. The Pivot Point materials deliver a highly structured and practical approach to learning cosmetology that accelerates your learning and gives you a competitive edge when you graduate. It costs us considerably more to use Pivot Point rather than the lower priced courses that are used elsewhere, but we believe you deserve the best.

Our instructors are experienced and successful cosmetologists as well as excellent teachers. They have been mentored by Teresa Favazza, an outstanding stylist and colorist with experience in all facets of the industry including competitions, modeling and stage work. She brings a level of professional expertise, knowledge and passion for excellence that the staff is dedicated to passing on to you.

The quality of the work in the student clinic attracts a clientele that gives you the chance to gain experience doing all aspects of the work. But more importantly, you learn and practice the high end work that gives you the greatest opportunity for success in the field.

Please note: The cosmetology student clinic is on a walk-in basis on Tuesday through Friday and the aesthetics student clinics are by appointment only. All services are instructor supervised and offered at reduced rates. It's a great way to experience the work first hand and meet students and teachers.
