Welcome to IBMC
 The right career starts with
the right education. At IBMC, we believe
that learning in a supportive and personal
environment can help you achieve the skills
and knowledge you need to succeed. Our supportive,
experienced faculty provides you with individualized
attention - and their combined years of
industry experience can help prepare you
for the future! Cheyenne, WY Campus The Cheyenne campus opened in
the spring of 2005 in the heart of Cheyenne
off of Dell Range Boulevard. The convenient
location boasts a multitude of neighboring
restaurants and retail businesses. The growing campus contains seven classrooms,
including three lecture rooms, a medical
lab, two computer labs, a student resource
center, a massage lab and clinic, and a
student lounge area. Massage Program The Field of Therapeutic
Massage is Growing Every Year If you're a compassionate, self-motivated
individual who is seeking a career in a
fast-growing industry, consider a career
in Therapeutic Massage. With our society's
increasing emphasis on health, more and
more people are learning about the benefits
of stress-reduction and massage therapy
to their overall well-being. Therapeutic
Massage is a branch of complementary healthcare
that works to improve a person's health
and well-being through the hands-on manipulation
of muscles and other soft tissues of the
body. As a result, opportunities for Massage
Therapists are abundant. At
IBMC, each student receives both consistent
feedback and the opportunity for one-on-one
interaction throughout their classroom experiences.
Because we keep our class sizes small, our
dedicated faculty have an opportunity to
work individually with students, assess
their strengths and help them develop their
skills. Classes provide more than just theory -
they also provide plentiful hands-on hours
in order for students to put their new knowledge
into practice! Program Highlights
& Objectives The Therapeutic Massage program is designed
to prepare the student for employment as
a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) and/or
to enter into private practice. Professional
career training includes Swedish massage,
neuro-muscular techniques, infant and prenatal
massage, sports massage, hydrotherapy, Asian,
reflexology, chair massage and site-specific
treatment techniques. Clinical experience
is incorporated to provide an integrated
approach in learning.
