Our School

With 10,000 square feet of classrooms, a student lounge, facial rooms and student salons, our Spartanburg campus is equipped with every amenity to make your education with us complete. Close to both I-85 and I-26, the Spartanburg location is convenient for our students to get to. Our upstate campus gives students a well-rounded education in both cosmetology and business to become successful cosmetologists.

Educational Goals and Programs

At Kenneth Shuler our only focus is cosmetology education, making us a leader in beauty schools in South Carolina. We offer our students the two top curriculums in the market - Milady and Creative Learning in Cosmetology. With Kenneth Shuler, students can be sure they are receiving the most comprehensive and complete cosmetology training. Our students train with the latest technology in real-world salon environments. Students are also able to take continuing education courses with us after graduation to renew their licenses. Kenneth Shuler students have a reputation for being highly qualified for their future careers, and have won competitions and been featured in cosmetology magazines.

Cosmetology

A career in cosmetology is filled with creativity, style and fun. In our Cosmetology program, students gain real-world experience by training in our full-service salon with the latest technology. Our students will receive all the tools and books they need, as well as state board application fees. Students usually complete the 1500-hour Cosmetology program in 10 to 20 months.

Esthetics

In our Esthetics program, students are given the tools and books as well as state application fees to pursue a successful career in skincare. Students are able to step out of the classroom and receive valuable real-world training by working in the full-service clinic as well as with mannequins. Our Esthetics courses include instruction in specialty facials, microdermabrasion, hair removal and professional development.

Instructor Training

For those interested in teaching at a beauty school, our Instructor Training program allows students to become a licensed instructor in South Carolina. Students who have been a licensed and practicing cosmetologist for over two years will take a 45-hour Methods of Teaching course, while students who have not been licensed and practicing for two years will be required to take a 750-hour Instructor Training program in addition to the 45-hour Methods of Training course.

At Kenneth Shuler's School of Cosmetology, we specialize in the renowned Milady training curriculum at all seven of our schools.
