LBI's School of Spa and Cosmetology Arts can help you turn your creativity into a career. Our cosmetology, esthetics, and nail technician curriculum is designed to cover it all - from basic skills like cutting and styling to complex procedures such as chemical texture services, skin care, manicures, and pedicures. If you have a passion for healing, consider the School of Spa and Cosmetology Arts, Therapeutic Massage degree. We place emphasis on the business aspects of the industry, so you can own and operate a salon. You can get ready with your Therapeutic Massage or cosmetology degree in four semesters, and begin working at a salon in one year.
Our comprehensive cosmetology curriculum will cover everything from basic skills like cutting to complex procedures such as skin care. You can earn your degree in four semesters.
ESTHETICS & PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP
You'll earn this certificate in Esthetics & Professional Makeup in two semesters. You'll gain an understanding of skin care and makeup, including a study of anatomy, physiology and histology, chemistry, and nutrition. We'll teach you how to provide services like specialized facials with facial massage, Galvanic treatments, and hair removal. You'll learn skin analysis, use of facial machines, and makeup artistry skills.
In one semester, this program provides you with knowledge and skills to learn natural manicuring, pedicuring, nail design and artistry along with instruction in traditional and contemporary techniques for nail enhancements and nail extensions.
This program is designed so that the student can work as an esthetician or as a nail technician. Graduates of this program will be awarded a diploma and be able to sit for the Esthetics and Nail Technician licensing exam after successful completion of 600 hours of instruction AND successful completion of the Esthetics and Nail Technician program
MASTER TEACHER OF COSMETOLOGY
As a Master Teacher, you'll gain the skills, knowledge, and ability to teach students the ins and outs of cosmetology. You'll learn the basics of instruction like communications and public speaking. You'll reinforce these skills with higher-level classes about personal and professional conduct, instructional methodology, and theory behind managing salons
This degree from LBI gives you the knowledge and credentials to become a talented, respected massage therapist. You'll learn styles and modalities like Eastern paradigms, sports massage, hydrotherapy and spa therapies. You'll become familiar with anatomy and physiology, kinesiology and practice management.
