We design each of our programs with this in mind. We get input from employers who meet with our faculty, staff and administration to improve existing programs and to help create new ones, depending on the how the economy and needs of industry are evolving.

Programs Offered
Cosmetology (16 Months, Specialized Associate Degree)
Interested in obtaining your Specialized Associate Degree in Cosmetology? Then we have the program for you - and you can complete it in just four semesters.

At LBI, we offer cutting-edge courses in hair styling, hair cutting, color, esthetics, manicuring and pedicuring. You'll take courses in State Board Theory and State Board Practicum in order to prepare for your licensing exam. We also teach you the ins and outs of managing and owning a salon with our courses in Small Business Management, Salon Retailing, Introduction to computers, and more.

Cosmetology (12 Months, Diploma)
If you need to finish school in a shorter time frame, you can earn your Cosmetology Diploma in three semesters. Our diploma option gives you all the cosmetology courses, along with the State Board Theory and Practicum courses. This way, you can get your license and begin working with the option to come back for one more semester in order to earn your Specialized Associate Degree.

Esthetics & Professional Makeup (8 Months, Diploma)
In this short, two-semester program, you'll get comprehensive knowledge of skin care and makeup, including in-depth study of anatomy, physiology and histology, infection control, ingredient and product knowledge, as well as chemistry and nutrition. You'll learn to provide a variety of services like specialized facials with facial massage, Galvanic and high frequency treatments, professional makeup and hair removal.

You'll also learn in-depth skin analysis, every function of facial machine, extensive makeup artistry skills, and state board procedures.

Advanced Manicuring, Pedicuring, and Nail Design (3 month)
This one semester program designed to provide the student with the advanced knowledge in manicuring, pedicuring, and nail design procedures. The course will cover a variety of topics and services including: Nail Structure and Growth, Manicuring, Pedicuring, Advanced Nail Techniques, Professional Salon Conduct, Professional Ethics and Appearance, Bacteria, Infectious Agents and Infection, Sanitation and Disinfection, Disinfectant Safety, Harmful products and protection, Common Chemicals, Aromatherapy, and State Board Procedures.

Student will get a Certificate upon completion.

Master Teacher of Cosmetology (8 Months, Diploma)
So you'd like to teach? In our Master Teacher's program, you'll quickly gain the skills, knowledge and ability to teach new students in the ins and outs of cosmetology. You'll learn basics like communications and public speaking, procedures, and instructional management. You'll reinforce these basic classes with higher level skills like personal and professional conduct, instructional methodology, and the theory behind managing salons.

Massage Therapy (18 Months, Diploma)

Become a talented, respected massage therapist and get tips on how to start your own business. This program allows you to go deeper into massage therapy and understand how it can benefit your customers the most.

Our program provides the opportunity to learn a wide variety of styles and modalities that include Eastern paradigms, sports massage, reflexology, hydrotherapy, energy-based modalities and spa therapies.

We also offer a Massage Therapy Certification Preparation course.  This 8 month course prepares you to take the national certification exam in massage therapy by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Finally, you'll get into the classroom to put your new knowledge to the test - teaching new students how to be professional, reliable, and highly skilled cosmetologists.
