Esthetics, Skincare and Salon Management
Esthetics, Skincare, and Salon Management is the core curriculum, the 600 hour course that prepares you to take the New York State written and practical exams for a license in Esthetics. Coursework highlights treatment theory, practice, advanced skin analysis, rejuvenating facials, peeling hair removal, makeup, and more.
The school is open for classes Monday-Sunday, offering very flexible hours. We have full time and part time schedules available.
Financial Aid is available to those who qualify.
Introduction to Esthetics
For the student who holds a current New York State Cosmetology license, has experience as a facialist, and is looking to enhance and refine his skills, this 183-hour course is the ticket.
Upon successful completion of this 183-hour course, you receive a Lia Schorr Institute of Cosmetic Skincare Traning, Inc., Certificate.
Advanced Esthetics and Salon Management
The Advanced Esthetics and Salon Management course is recommended to a professional esthetician seeking to expand his or her skincare and business skills. An 80-hour program. Upon successful completion of this 80-hour course, you receive a Lia Schorr Institute of Cosmetic Skincare Training, Inc., certificate.
The Preparatory Course for the State Exam is for an esthetician licensed for those who hold a certificate indicating that he or she has successfully completed the 600-hour state approved curriculum and are eligible to take the state exam. Upon successful completion of this 60-hour course, you receive a Lia Schorr Institute of Cosmetic Skincare Training, Inc., Certificate.
Basic Makeup
Designed to prepare you for a career as a makeup artist--or to develop your skills purely for your own enjoyment. Basic Makeup, a 50-hour course, offers a solid foundation in this exciting field. At the core of this course, guided development of practical skills. Upon completion of this 50-hour course, you receive a Lia Schorr
Waxing
This 75-hour course provides you with a solid foundation for a career in waxing. Also recommended for those interested in enhancing personal skills. Upon successful completion of this course, you receive a Lia Schorr Institute of Cosmetic Skincare Training Inc., Certificate.
Electrolysis
This 120-hour course prepares you to practice electrolysis, which does not require a license from the State of New York. Upon successful completion of this course of study, you receive a Lia Schorr Institute of Cosmetic Skincare Training, Inc., Certificate.
Airbrush
Course instruction is designed to introduce students to the advanced technique of applying makeup with compressed air. Airbrushing aids the artist with overcoming the challenges in the HD digital age. This course features lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practical.
Fashion Editorial
Course instrustion is designed to prepare students to meet the challenges of creating makeup that supports the evolution and point of reference in the changing world of fashion. This course features lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practical. This course is designed to expand and support the creative process, analytical approach, and makeup skills needed for success in this area of the makeup industry.
Paramedical
Course instruction is designed to prepare students psychologiccla and technically to work in the field of make-up with a paramedial focus. Lecture, demonstration, and practicum on individuals with actual conditions benefited by this service are methods used.
Bridal
Course instruction is designed to prepare students to meet the challenges of creating a makeup design that is long lasting, weather-proof and that will photograph well. This course features lecure, demonstration, and hands-on practical. This course is designed to expand both the makeup skills and business skills necessary for creating a successful Bridal makeup career.
