to Magnolia College of Cosmetology
At Magnolia College of Cosmetology we offer
courses in cosmetology, nail technology,
esthetics, and teacher training. Most of
our courses are offered full or part-time.
Magnolia College of Cosmetology is locally
owned and operated in Jackson, Mississippi.
Our objective is to provide the highest
quality education to all students, preparing
them for a successful career in the beauty
industry. We make a difference in the lives
of our students by treating each student

Courses

Cosmetology
This course includes Hair Designing,
Sculpting, Perming, Straightening and Coloring
using Pivot Point techniques.
For
nearly 40 years, Pivot Point International
has been recognized as the world leader
in cosmetology education. Many of our country's
top designers have been educated at Pivot
Point Schools. In fact, a Pivot Point education
is so well respected in the industry; most
of our graduates get jobs even before they
graduate.
Time is spent in the classroom before entering
the floor to practice on customers. The
hair portion of the course is taught by
the universal Pivot Point method, which
is a simplified, comprehensive approach.
The sky is the limit with this license,
you can do it all!
Manicuring
Course
A minimum of 80 hours is spent in the
classroom before entering the floor for
"hands on" training. This course offers
all phases in nails, including manicuring,
pedicuring, wraps, extensions, gels and
nail art.
Esthetician
Course
This course offers all phases of skin
care including various facials, back treatments,
masks, and hair removal techniques, day-time,
evening and stage make-overs are also included
in the program.
100 theory hours are required before the
next level of "hands-on" training.
Teacher Training
The teacher trainee course is designed to
enable the trainee to become a cosmetology
instructor and be certified to teach cosmetology
in the state of Mississippi.

Admission Requirements include the following:
- High School graduation or GED
- At least 17 years of age
- Complete the enrollment packet
- $100 Registration fee
- $50 Book deposit
- A personal interview and visit to the
school are required
In order to be placed on a waiting list,
you registration fee and book deposit must
be paid.

of Cosmetology Arts& Sciences (NACCAS)
accredits Magnolia College of Cosmetology.
NACCAS is recognized by the U.S. Department
of Education as a national accrediting
agency for Postsecondary schools and programs
of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences.
- Licensed and approved by the Mississippi
State Board of Cosmetology.
- Approved by the U.S. Department of
Education to administer Title IV funds.
- Member of the National Association
of Cosmetology Schools.
- Qualified as the only school in Mississippi
to offer the exclusive International Pivot
Point Member School educational program
Financial Aid
Financial aid is available to qualified
applicants. For additional information and
details please come in and visit with Pat,
our Financial Aid Officer. She will be most
happy to assist you. Classes start monthly,
and enrollment papers must be completed
one week prior to the start date. A waiting
list is maintained for all classes.
