Mission and Educational Objectives

We have as our principle objective the training of an entry level position and the preparation for state licensure in the field of Cosmetology and Manicure.

In order to maintain our position in the forefront of cosmetology education, our policy remains one of involvement and participation in the Massachusetts Association of Cosmetology Schools, the American Association of Cosmetology Schools, and the Massachusetts Financial Aid Association.

We encourage all candidates who are interested the Cosmetology and or the Nail industry and enjoy the customer service business to apply for admission to Mansfield Beauty Schools.

Cosmetology

Students who have maintained satisfactory progress, successfully completed Mansfield Beauty Schools' Cosmetology program and all requirements, and have satisfied all financial obligations to the school, will graduate and receive Mansfield Beauty Schools' Cosmetology diploma and authorization to apply for the Massachusetts Board of Cosmetology license exam.

Our Cosmetology program includes:
• Day & evening classes
• Classes that start monthly
• Financial Aid for those who qualify
• Tuition payment plan
• Accreditation by NACCAS
• Job Placement Service

Manicuring Program

Students who have maintained satisfactory progress, successfully completed Mansfield Beauty Schools' Manicure program and all requirements, and have satisfied all financial obligations to the school, will graduate and receive Mansfield Beauty Schools Cosmetology diploma and authorization to apply for the Massachusetts Board of Cosmetology license exam.

Our Manicure program includes:
• Day & Evening Classes
• Classes that start monthly


Financial Aid

Mansfield Beauty Schools offers an in-school, interest- free, tuition payment plan.

Our staff is happy to assist students and families who are eligible for financial aid with the application process. Proper documentation of income and status is required

Mansfield Beauty Schools is approved by the United Stated Department of Education to participate in the Federal Title IV Financial Aid Programs. The Programs we are currently participating in are:
• Pell Grant
• Supplementary Education Opportunity Grant
• Federal Subsidized Loan and Unsubsidized Loan
• Federal PLUS

We are approved by the Division of Employment & Training / Division of Career Services and Division of Unemployment Assistance. We also participate in the following programs:
• Massachusetts Grant Program
• Massachusetts Part-Time Grant Program


Requirements for Admission

Candidates will be admitted who have a certificate of graduation from a school providing secondary education or the equivalent of such certificate, for example a GED or verification from the State in which the secondary education has been recognized.

* On Time Graduation Rate consists of Graduates who complete their program on or before their original contracted graduation date. The Department of Education prohibits institution from including in the On Time Graduation rate, a graduate who may have taken a leave of
absence, program was delayed due to school closings for bad weather, or original enrollment schedule was changed . It has always been the policy of Mansfield Beauty Schools to try to accommodate requested schedule changes and documented leave of absences. Students who fall into this category, although they graduate, do not meet the definition of an On Time Graduate and are not included in this rate.

**Placement Rates are from the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences reported every November 30th for the prior calendar year

Licensing

The Massachusetts state regulations currently allow students upon graduation from school and applying for the licensing exam to work in a licensed salon.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts will issue an operator's license upon the passing of the examination to cosmetology graduates. Manicure graduates, upon passing the State Board examination will receive a manicure license.

Job Placement

Our primary objective is the placement of our graduates. Upon or before the completion of all graduation requirements a student will have a placement interview with the School Director, or a designee. The student will be assisted according to their needs as discussed in the interview process.
