Us
Michigan College of Beauty, one of the first
Pivot Point member schools, was founded
in 1965 by Mr. Armand Dagenais. Mr. Armand,
a hairstylist and salon owner, dedicated
himself to providing the best training possible
for individuals entering the beauty industry.
Michigan College of Beauty is licensed by
State of Michigan Board of Cosmetology.
Our free standing main building was built
in 1988, has 11,000 square feet of space,
and is designed and equipped for Cosmetology,
Manicuring, and Esthetics training. Additional
7,000 square feet of classroom space, located
¼ mile from the main building, was constructed
in 2001. Both facilities are handicap accessible.
Accredited by National Accrediting Commission
of Cosmetology Art & Sciences (N.A.C.C.A.S.),
financial aid is available to those who
qualify.
Classes are available on a full time or
part time basis, with day or evening schedules.

Our
Programs
Cosmetology
Using the Pivot Point training and educational
systems, the Cosmetology course is designed
to train and prepare students for professional
employment in hair styling, hair coloring,
permanent waving, hair cutting, manicuring,
and esthetics.
The students are taught employability skills
for entry into the beauty industry and are
prepared for state licensing examination.
Classes are available on a full time or
part time basis, with day or evening schedules.
Manicuring
The manicuring course is designed to prepare
students for employment as professional
manicurists. The students are taught employability
skills and are prepared for state licensing
examination.
Classes are available on a full time or
part time basis, with day or evening schedules.
Esthetics
The esthetics course is designed to prepare
students for professional employment performing
facials, body treatments, make-up artistry,
and temporary hair removal. The students
are taught employability skills and are
prepared for state licensing examination.

Dermalogica professional product
line, researched and developed by the International
Dermal Institute, is used in the classrooms
and on the clinic for services. Using only
the finest ingredients available, all products
are non-comedogenic and contain no occlusive
mineral oil or lanolin, no irritating artificial
colors or fragrance, and no drying S.D.
alcohol or formaldehyde.
Dermalogica is among the most selected
brands among professional skin care therapists
in the United States, with more than 3,500
skin care centers carrying the line and
many thousands more in Europe, Asia, and
Australia.
Cosmetology Instructor
Training
The cosmetology instructor training course
is designed to prepare a licensed cosmetologist
to instruct all phases of the basic cosmetology
curriculum in a licensed school. The students
are taught employability skills and are
prepared for state licensing examination.
Financial Aid
Michigan College of Beauty is nationally
accredited by National Accrediting Commission
of Cosmetology Arts and Science (N.A.C.C.A.S.),
who is recognized by the United States Department
of Education as a national accrediting agency
for post secondary schools and programs
of cosmetology arts and sciences.
Having met the standards set by NACCAS,
Government Pell Grants and Direct Student
Loans are available to those who qualify.
