About Us

Midwest College of Cosmetology, a division of Lincoln College-Normal, is located in the twin cities of Bloomington and Normal, Illinois. It was founded on being the premier higher education institution of cosmetology. Dedicated to producing highly sought-after cosmetologists, estheticians, massage therapists, and instructors by infusing the latest technology and professional salon products within the educational program.

Programs Offered

Midwest College of Cosmetology is an exclusive professional cosmetology college. We train our students by using the latest technology and professional products. Whether you choose to study cosmetology, esthetics, or instructor training at the end of each program, MCC students are prepared to:

Cosmetology
Hair cutting and styling, color and chemical applications, esthetics, nail technology, shop management, sanitation, and interpersonal skills.

Esthetics
Includes facials, waxing, reflexology, make-up application, and body wraps.

Massage Therapy
Study fundamentals in theory and practical application of various massage techniques as well as anatomy and physiology.

Instructor's Training
Licensed cosmetologists, estheticians, and nail technicians can train to become an instructor. Do you like to be in front of a crowd or do you want to teach the techniques you know to students? Then you should consider a career as an instructor. To enroll in the program, you must have a current license in cosmetology, esthetics, and nails and a high school diploma or GED.

Housing

Part of the Midwest College of Cosmetology experience is living in a residence hall. Outside of class you will spend a majority of your time there. All MCC residence halls offer an on-campus suite style apartment. You have the privacy of your own bedroom but share the entire apartment with three other people in a secure environment.

Apartment suites are fully furnished. Your bedroom is complete with a closet, dresser, twin bed, and a desk. Kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. There are two full bathrooms and a stackable washer and dryer in every apartment.

Student Services

MCC offers many services that can enhance your learning experience, since we're affiliated with Lincoln College- Normal. MCC offers convenient services provided by a four-year college. Students can participate in all activities sponsored by Lincoln College - Normal and take advantage of services offered by neighboring Illinois State University.
