Cosmetology

Our Cosmetology program provides in-class instruction and hands-on practical training. Learn some of the most current trends and up-to-date techniques in hairstyling. We give you the tools you need to succeed in this high-demand career.

Esthetics Technology
The program objective is to give the student the knowledge necessary to develop manipulative skills for entry level into the Esthetics profession. Course work includes instruction in professional development, bacteriology, sanitation and disinfection, skin structure, diseases and disorders, facials, aromatherapy, body treatments, microdermabrasion, various phases of Esthetics technology, business/computer principles, product knowledge, and other selected topics.

Employment opportunities include beauty salons, spas, dermatology offices and other related businesses as an esthetician, skin specialist, educator, platform artist, manufacturer’s representative, facial product salesperson, and more.

Barbering

This course is the introduction into the essentials division of the Barbering program. It introduces basic barbering concepts and applications. Topics include bacteriology, infection control, implements, tools, and equipment, properties and disorders of the skin, properties and disorders of the hair and scalp, treatment of the hair and scalp, shaving and facial hair design men's haircutting and styling. Upon completion, students should be able to advance into more comprehensive basics of barbering.
