Cosmetology - Certificate

The Cosmetology program is designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific/art principles, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology industry. MMTC's advanced approach provides a simulated salon environment which enables students to develop manipulative skills and knowledge that can lead to an entry-level career in the field of Cosmetology.

Upon completion of the program, the student will be prepared to take the practical and written portions of the Georgia licensing examination. Employment opportunities may include beauty salon spas, and other related businesses as a stylist, salon manager or owner, color specialist, educator, platform or makeup artist, manufacturer's representative, cosmetic salesperson, and more.

Massage Therapy

Students participating in Miller-Motte's massage therapist program will develop the educational knowledge necessary to develop massage protocol and perform an extensive therapeutic massage with focus on whole body wellness. Graduates of our massage therapy schools are eligible to sit for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Massage therapy can either be a full-time career or a secondary source of income. Most massage therapists are self-employed. They typically own a business of their own or work on an independent contractor basis. Many graduates of Miller-Motte's massage therapy program have also found employment at the offices of chiropractors and doctors; health and beauty salons and spas; nursing homes; fitness and recreational centers; and hotels.
