The Mitsu Sato Hair Academy is perfect for students who desire to have a strong emphasis on hair cutting and coloring techniques taught by working professionals. To have a successful career, today's student must seek a school that places equal emphasis on learning the most current techniques and artistic approaches to hairdressing in addition to passing the exam for a cosmetology license.

We Approach Hair Design as an Art Form 

Students are encouraged to harness their creativity and learn the architecture of hair designing. At Mitsu Sato Hair Academy, we concentrate on hands-on training in a small group setting and guide you from the beginning. Our salon is managed and owned by Mitsu Sato, the former director of Vidal Sassoon who has been in the salon industry for many years. He knows what beauty industry professionals are looking for and brings his own experiences into the classroom to give students a competitive edge.

What do we Cover?

Our curriculum has proven to produce graduates that are ready to enter the workplace with confidence and skills that are beyond the expectation of employers. We provide students with a well-rounded and hands-on education in:

• Vidal Sassoon cutting method

• Basic nails

• Extensive color training

•  Basic makeup training All occasion makeup application. Students get hands on training by being exposed to local fashion shows, and photo shoots, and learn the latest trends in application.

• Hair extensions (fusion certifications offered) Students learn multiple extension application methods including: weave, tape, clip-on, and fusion extensions.

• Men's haircutting (American Crew men's haircutting system)American Crew's method teaches students classic to contemporary cutting methods.

•  Nuts and Bolts business training program This program will teach students the business fundamentals giving them the mindset to be successful. Each student can gain a deeper knowlege and understand the importance of business skills in the industry.

Advanced skills will include hands-on training with Mitsu Sato, academy owner and professional stylist. You will also get to attend fashion shows and demonstrations, as well as receive skills training from national and local guest artists, successful salon owners, stylists, makeup artists and business professionals.

Post-Graduate Opportunities

• The Advancement to the New Talent program at Mitsu Sato Salon offers students an apprenticeship or position working in the owner's salon
• Compensation while continuing to learn in the salon
• Participation in on-going demonstrations, advanced training, fashion shows and lectures
• Refresher courses at no cost
