Located only in Los Angeles, California,
MKC Beauty Academy provides a unique experience
for students and professionals who want
to excel in the beauty makeup industry.
MKC is the creation of world-renowned makeup
artist, Margaret Kimura.
MKC Beauty Academy offers a unique, focused
education in a relaxing and safe atmosphere.
Classes are small and personal, with a maximum
of 10 students per class, and all of our
instructors are working industry professionals
in the subjects that they teach.
Unlike other makeup schools, MKC Beauty
Academy offers a Master's program in Fashion,
Beauty & Print Makeup for new and current
artists who wish to take their skills to
the highest level possible. In this program,
you will learn media makeup techniques that
stand up to the new high-definition technology
of television and film.

in Fashion, Beauty & Print Makeup (10-week
day course: 343 hours)

Monday-Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
In this program, you will learn everything
you need to know to become a professional
makeup artist in print, television, film,
or fashion. This course was designed by
Margaret Kimura and is based on her 28 years
of experience as a makeup artist in the
entertainment industry. In addition to gaining
unparalleled makeup skills, you will be
educated in many makeup-related fields.
This will make you a more complete professional
makeup artist, ready to work (and be hired)
in a variety of areas.
No other makeup artistry program covers
these very important aspects of print makeup.
Learn how to prepare hair for print, style
a wardrobe, and understand retouching so
you can still see your work in the finished
product. Work with a professional photographer
to learn how to apply makeup for different
lighting sources. Gain the confidence and
skills to effectively network and market
yourself.
Your Master's Program experience includes
an unprecedented 5 professional photo shoots
with top fashion photographers and professional
models. This means that as soon as you graduate,
your portfolio will be ready to start landing
you real jobs in fashion, beauty, print,
television and film.

When you enroll, you receive:
- Equipment: Makeup kit, hair kit
- Professional photographer for 5 photo
shoots

1 year (including domain name)
Total tuition: $14,600
Deposit: $1000 (or $150 with approved financial
aid)
Financial aid
MKC Beauty Academy has partnered with SLM
Financial Corporation, a Sallie Mae company,
to offer you an affordable way to fund your
education. SLM provides student loans to
qualified applicants, or applicants with
qualified co-borrowers. Loans can cover
the cost of tuition and up to $6,000 for
living expenses. SLM's credit-based loans
are a great way to build credit while paying
for your education. Loans can be deferred
for up to 1 year, and with an excellent
payment history, borrowers can apply to
have their co-borrowers removed from the
loan after 2 years. (Available only to U.S.
citizens or permanent residents with a social
security number).
Requirements
Students must be at least 18 years of age
and have proof of a high school diploma
or equivalent.
In order to enroll, all students must submit
an application, registration form, career
assessment test, proof of education, successfully
pass a color blindness test and a one-on-one
interview with school founder, Margaret
Kimura.
Only serious students who possess a passion
for becoming professional makeup artists
will be considered.
