Located in Los Angeles, California, the MKC Academy is the creation of world-renowned image consultant and author Margaret Kimura. Along with industry colleagues who specialize in special FX Makeup, Margaret has created a one-of-a-kind school where students can learn, evolve, network and create experiences that will translate into successful, artistic careers that can last a lifetime. MKC Project Milan!

You too can travel to Milan like our 2009 winners: Jessica Ahn and Ximena Rolfe. Each year two Alumni are chosen to travel to Milan, Italy. The place where Margaret Kimura started her career. Winners will experience all the beauty of Italy, meet with a representative of a top makeup artist agencyand participate in real photo shoots. A once in a lifetime experience!

Certificate Programs

In addition to your curriculum the Masters Programs include 4 professional photo shoots, an online portfolio, professional portfolio book with 10 prints, a 3 day beauty lighting workshop and a 3 day business & marketing workshop.

Financial Assistance

MKC Academy of Fashion, Beauty & Print has partnered with SLM Financial Corporation, to offer you an affordable way to fund your education. Sallie Mae provides student loans to qualified applicants, or applicants with qualified co-borrowers. Loans can cover the cost of tuition and up to $6,000 for living expenses. Sallie Mae credit-based loans are a great way to build credit while paying for your education. With an excellent payment history, borrowers can apply to have their co-borrowers removed from the loan after 2 years. (Available only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a social security number).

In addition to Sallie Mae Financial, MKC offer's their own in-house loans and scholarships to qualified candidates. Speak to a MKC Counselor for more information. For applicants that are finding it difficult to locate funding to pay for their education, we are proud to introduce THE MKC INTERNSHIP PROGRAM. With flexible schedules available, you are able to exchange time worked for classroom time.

Requirements

Students must be at least 18 years of age and have proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.

In order to enroll, all students must submit an application, registration form, career assessment test, proof of education and fulfill all program specific requirements.

Only serious students who possess a passion for becoming professionals in Fashion, Beauty & Print will be considered.
