of Study
Cosmetology/Hairstyling
Your career in the beauty industry is more
than cutting hair; it's about designing
through color, texture, style, and fashion.
At Modern Beauty Academy you'll receive
instruction in applied sciences and skills
in hair sculpture, hair design, hair color,
hair permanent waves, manicures, facials,
make up, and pedicures. It is an opportunity
to work with real clients in a salon-like
setting, experience fashion presentation,
community events, while developing your
creative potential and exploring the many
opportunities available to you in the beauty
industry.
Our students are well prepared to take the
State Exam for cosmetology and we will assist
them in obtaining employment in a salon.
Nail Technology
Nail program covers everything you need
to be a professional in this industry. From
tips, to acrylic, to wrap techniques, you'll
be well prepared for the salon. The Nail
course consists of classroom and student
salon experience. Instruction covers manicuring,
pedicuring, gel, fabric and acrylic nail
enhancements as well as applicable laws,
health, safety and sanitation.
Cosmetology Instructor
Training
The cosmetology instructor training course
is designed to prepare a licensed cosmetologist
to instruct all phases of the basic cosmetology
curriculum in a licensed school. The students
are taught employability skills and are
prepared for state licensing examination
Accreditations
and Financial Aid
Modern Beauty Academy is approved
by the U.S. Department of Education and
we are accredited by the National Accrediting
Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences
and are eligible to participate in Title
IV Financial Aid programs. Financial aid
is available for those who qualify. Our
Financial Assistant Department is available
to guide you through the application process
for financial aid in your state.
