About Us
We have a great staff here at New Beginning
College of Cosmetology. We are going to
introduce you to some of our great staff!
Day Time Instructors
Anita Harris - Anita graduated from Guntersville
High School. She received her education
in Cosmetology at Ray's Beauty Academy and
from great instructors at New World College.
Anita has over 30 years of experience in
the field of Cosmetology. She has managed
salons and owned her own as well. She has
an extensive education in the cosmetology
industry. She is also the previous owner
of New Beginnings. Anita loves to instill
in her students what she has learned throughout
the years.
Kelly Ball - Kelly received her high school
education at Shades Valley in Birmingham,
AL. She graduated from New Wave Beauty Academy
and extended her career through New Beginnings
and received her Instructor's License. She
has over 15 years of experience in the cosmetology
industry. Kelly has owned her own salon
and now is the owner of New Beginnings College
of Cosmetology. Her desire is to see all
her students succeed in their chosen profession
as a cosmetologist.
Theresa Tankersley - Theresa received her
education at Asbury High School. Theresa
graduated from Cosmetology and Instructors
School at NBCC. She has over 8 years of
experience in teaching.
Receptionist
Susan Tucker is from Altoona, AL. She went
to Albertville High School. Susan has over
10 years of experience in management. She
is the one that helps hold NBCC together,
keeping all of us organized!

Chemistry of the
Hair
Hair is composed of different levels. Learn
how and why the hair takes chemicals the
way it does. Learn how to prevent mistakes.
Braiding and Extensions
Extensions are becoming a big thing. Learn
how to increase your income by bringing
in new techniques.
Permanent Wave
Techniques
Perms may come and go, but they will always
come back around for a second run. Learn
the correct way to put in perms and how
to prevent accidents from happening with

manage a business. We'll give you the skills
to help you understand how to do this effectively

The last month of your training, we will
teach you about management, setting goals,
how to seek out potential clients and seek
employment.
