The School
North Florida Academy is located
in Orange Park, Florida at the intersection
of Jefferson and Blanding Boulevard.
The facility, the curriculum, the products
and chemicals used in the school were chosen
with the students' salon-readiness in mind.
The North Florida Academy philosophy and
purpose is to offer training and education
to students in the Cosmetology, Nail Specialty,
Facial Specialty, Full Specialty and Instructor
Training programs in a manner that will
enable them to have the closest to a salon-like
experience and readiness level as is possible
in the industry.
Our professional staff assists students
to develop their creativity and by example
teach them to strive for industry professionalism
and excellence. We offer part-time and full-time
curriculums so you can make time to earn
any one of the diplomas and certificates
offered. There are tremendous new opportunities
today in salons and day spas for hair designers,
hair colorists, nail artists, facial specialists,
makeup artists and many other beauty professions.
Cosmetology
The Cosmetology Course lasts approximately
34 weeks. Classes begin weekly. Upon completion
of the required hours, the students will
receive a diploma from NFA that will allow
them to take the State Board Exam for licensure.

Full Specialty
Program
North Florida Academy's Full Specialty Program
objective is to teach a complete program
of specialties such as Hair Removal, Nail
Technician, Skin Care, Professional Spa
Training, and Body/Facial Treatment Training.
Students develop the skills necessary to
become a registered Full Specialist in the
State of Florida, and to meet the needs
of the day spa and salon community in which
they will enter.
North Florida Academy is a fully equipped
day spa/salon training facility. Students
will learn skin care, hair removal, body
treatments and all its elements. This curriculum
will also train students in artificial and
natural nails including nail art, as well
as treatments such as spa therapies, hydrotherapy,
and paramedical facial treatments such as
microdermabrasion and ultrasonic facials.
The Full Specialty curriculum includes;

Instructor Program
DISCLAIMER: This program is not required
to be an instructor in the State of Florida.
At this time, there is no required professional
exam for licensing for instructors in the
State of Florida. Completion of this program
does not qualify you for any special license
or exam by the State of Florida. Completion
of this program will result in a diploma
from the North Florida Academy, Instructor
Training Course and documentation of hours
completed.
