Why Rob Roy Academy?
Rob Roy Academy was founded in
1979, in Worcester, Massachusetts by Robert
Lapierre and Roy Samra. Together with their
experienced and professional staff they
have created a well established accredited
and licensed academy that has been preparing
students for exciting, creative and rewarding
careers for over twenty-five years.
We have four campus locations in Massachusetts:
Worcester, Fall River, Taunton and New Bedford.
We are proud to announce our newly opened
campus located in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

Our mission is to provide our students with
a quality education, which ensures technical
confidence, self-assurance and the interpersonal
skills necessary to obtain licensure, as
well as a rewarding career in the beauty
and barber industry.
 Cosmetology
Fun, exciting and always changing cosmetology
is a dynamic career choice. Students work
on practical assignments using mannequins
and fellow students while learning the basic
fundamentals. A gradual progression then
occurs to the customer, under the supervision
of a licensed instructor.
The curriculum is varied and comprehensive.
After completing this course you will be
prepared to pass the required Massachusetts
State Board Exam and start your exciting
new career.

Manicuring
The Manicuring program is designed to train
the serious minded student to work as nail
technicians in various settings. Salons,
Spas, and Nail Salons are always expanding
and hiring successful graduates. Our hands-on,
oriented program provides the student all
that is necessary to pass the Massachusetts
and Rhode Island Sate Board Exams. Our ultimate
goal is to create highly trained, professional
nail technicians for this growing industry.

Barber/Styling
Barbering is one of the "hottest" professions!
Our program is designed to prepare you for
a rewarding, creative career with many options.
Students will be prepared to pass the Apprentice
Exam required by the Massachusetts Board
of Barbering. The skills and knowledge obtained
at Rob Roy will enable you to become successful
in the modern or traditional barber shop.
Our barber/styling program includes the

Esthetics
The Esthetics industry has exploded in recent
years. Get in on this progressive and sophisticated
career. Individuals are trained in two methods
of skin care, the European Topical and the
American Therapeutic. Taught in both a classroom
and public clinic setting, our program allows
for a wide variety of experiences not always
found in a typical school setting. Students
will learn the skills necessary to become
Estheticians and Make-Up Artists. The program
is designed to prepare the student for professional
licensure requirements of the states of
Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Our staff
consists of individuals with years of professional
service, teaching, and administrative experience.
