school, opened in 2002 to meet the ever-increasing
demand for professional estheticians. The
school trains students in European facial
massage, aromatherapy, waxing techniques,
chemical exfoliation, professional make-up,
body treatments, microdermabrasion and medical
esthetics. The school uses the exclusive
lines of SamPar (Paris), GlyMed and Jane
Iredale.
The Skin Institute offers a basic esthetics
license and the prestigious master esthetics
license, as required by Utah state licensing
to perform more advanced treatments. Courses
are licensed by the state of Utah and are
designed for reciprocity across state borders.
Class size is limited to facilitate instructor/student
interaction and hands-on training.
Located in St. George, Utah, graduates can
explore career opportunities at local spas
such as Green Valley and Red Mountain, or
venture to Nevada and work with the Skinvincible
Mesquite Spa or some of the elegant spas
found in the large hotels and organizations
in Mesquite, Nevada, and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Graduates of The Skin Institute are highly
trained professionals who have careers in
day spas, resorts, destination spas, cruise
ships and medical settings.
Education
Esthetics Program
We offer two courses: Basic Esthetics and
Master Esthetics.
Education Billions of dollars are spent
each year on skin care products and procedures.
People want to look and feel their best.
As baby boomers approach their golden years,
the anti-aging needs of the largest consumer
group in the nation have caused an explosion
in demand for skin care and spa services.
Estheticians are trained in the science
of beauty, anti-stress and anti-aging. These
licensed skin care professionals treat fine
lines, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, acne
and environmentally damaged skin. The need
for trained professionals providing these
services continues to rise at a dramatic
pace.
Today's esthetician must be prepared to
meet a far greater demand for knowledge
in multiple areas of esthetics and wellness.
The Skin Institute trains students using
state-of-the-art treatment machines, skin
care products and cutting-edge techniques.
