in the greater Salt Lake area that specializes
in skin care. Skin Works is a nationally
accredited institution through the Council
On Occupational Education (COE). Skin Works
offers state recognized basic and master
esthetic courses. In addition, Skin Works
offers different continuing education courses
every month.

Our School
Facilities
Skin Works is conveniently located 10 minutes
from the Salt Lake International airport.
Our school has over 6,000 sq. ft., which
consists of a client lobby, three theory-practical
areas, conference room, kitchen, twelve
treatment rooms, make-up station, and several
manicure and pedicure stations.
Approximately 60 free parking spaces are
available across the street in the Skin
Works parking lot. Our facilities are equipped
for 10-20 students per class.
Staff
Skin Works has been in operation since 1995,
with a tenured staff averaging over eight
years in instruction alone. Our instructors
are also professionals in the industry,
which allows our students several opportunities
with networking, real experience, and the
benefit of learning different techniques
from alternating instructors. Skin Work's
recently remodeled facility also provides
our students with a real spa environment.
Programs
Basic Esthetician
Training
Basic Training teaches the following: Skin
exfoliation techniques; concentrates, aromatherapy/essential
oils, serums; European skin care techniques;
limited chemical peeling; eyelash eyebrow
coloring and perming; High-Frequency and
Galvanic skin treatments; skin analysis;
moisturizing; cleansing; face and body waxing;
manual and machine techniques; moisturizing
and cleansing masks; massage; extractions;
acntreatments; make-up; manicures; pedicures
and reflexology.
Training also includes the following specialty
treatments: Oxygen therapy masque; collagen
masque; paraffin masque; vitamin therapy
masque; spa manicures and pedicures; paraffin
bath; specialty hand and foot treatments;
and reflexology.
Advanced Training
Curriculum Includes: Body treatments: body
wraps/ cellulite treatment, herbal linen
wrap, body bronzing (tanning), manual lymphatic
drainage, stone therapy treatments; pedicuring:
advanced spa pedicures (chemical acids,
credo blades), paraffin bath; specialty
hand and foot treatments; spa body treatments:
nourishing seaweed body treatment, salt
glows; micro-dermabrasion. Professional
exfoliation techniques: chemical acid peeling
(AHA/BHA/JESSNER), advanced facial treatments:
hot/cold stone facial.

Owner, Esthetician, Make-up Artist, Instructor,
Educator, Physicians Assistant, or Paramedical
Esthetician, etc.. Employment opportunities
exist at doctor's offices, resorts, cruise
ships, schools, day spas and salons.
Financial Aid
Because Skin Works School of Advanced Skin
Care is accredited by the Council of Occupational
Education (COE) and have been approved by
the Department of Education (DOE), we are
approved to offer Title IV financial aid
to those who qualify.
Skin Works School offers the following Title
IV programs:
- Pell Grant
- Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford
Loans
- Parental PLUS loans (for dependent
students)
