At Skyway Beauty and Barber Academy, you can learn from seasoned beauty professionals who are dedicated to your success. All of our courses are designed to guide you toward an exciting, fulfilling and financially rewarding career and to help prepare you to sit for your state licensing examination.

Skyway Beauty and Barber Academy strives to produce well-rounded, confident students. That's why we provide additional training in business, human relations and employability.

Both full-time and part-time programs are available. And, you can choose to attend 4, 6 or 8 hours daily. The School is in operation Tuesday through Saturday.

Cosmetology

Program length: 1600 hours

You can complete our Cosmetology program in just 9 ½ months! Training covers many phases of cosmetology including hair care, skin care and manicuring. You can be fully prepared when you enter your new career with training from us.

Courses cover:

• Thermal and wet hairstyling
• Permanent waving
• Chemical straightening
• Haircutting
• Hair coloring and bleaching
• Facials
• Makeup
• Manicuring and pedicuring
• And much more!

Esthetics

Program length: 600 hours

You can gain the skills you need to achieve professional success as a skilled esthetician in as little as 15 weeks! You can learn how to perform:

• Facials
• Eyebrow arching/tweezing
• Makeup application
• Corrective makeup
• Electrical facials
• Chemical skin peels
• And much more!

Nail Technology

Program length: 400 hours

You can complete our Nail Technology program in just 10 weeks! You can learn through both technical instruction and practical, hands-on methods.

Your training covers aspects of nail technology such as:

• Anatomy, physiology and chemistry
• Sterilization procedures
• Manicuring and pedicuring
• Artificial nail application
• Water and oil manicures
• And much more!

Barbering

Program length: 1500 hours

Learn the art of barbering in less time than you think! At Skyway Beauty and Barber Academy, you can learn through both theory and hands-on instruction. Gain an understanding of techniques such as:

• Haircutting and hairstyling
• Shaves
• Scalp manipulations
• Hair coloring and tinting
• Hair processing/relaxing
• Hair pieces
• And much more!

Teacher Training

Program length: 600 hours

Share your passion for cosmetology with the next generation of beauty professionals by getting the training you need to become an instructor.

You must have held an active California-issued license in cosmetology, esthetics or manicuring for a minimum of 3 years to be eligible to enroll. This 600-hour instructor course may be used to meet your time requirement.
