The Baltimore School of Massage is located
in Linthicum a suburb of Baltimore. The
facilities include large classrooms, a library,
a student lounge and student clinic, Natural
Health Shoppe, administrative offices and
professional office space. The facility
affords us the benefits of excellent location
and ample space for classes and seminars.
Classrooms are equipped with massage tables,
audiovisual equipment and visual aids such
as charts and skeletons.
The campus location is very accessible to
those coming from Pennsylvania, Washington
D.C., Delaware, and Frederick, MD or West
Virginia. This location is also very convenient
to those coming from the Greater Baltimore

Professional Esthetics
Training
PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION
This program offers the most pertinent theoretical
and practical components of skin care training.
The theory component emphasizes the study
of the structure and function of the human
body, the latest body and facial treatments,
dermatology, product chemistry, and product
ingredients. The theoretical experience
will also expose students to business and
career development, salon safety, Maryland
laws and regulations, and salon sanitation.
The practical portion of the program will
develop the student’s dexterity, manipulative
skills, and confidence required to be an
effective esthetician. The Basic Skin Care
Program offers instruction in basic facials,
makeup application, extensive waxing procedures,
non-wax hair removal, and rapid exfoliants.
Students will be using state of the industry
equipment and will be exposed to exceptional
guest speakers and faculty who are well
renowned in their areas of expertise. This
program meets the requirements set forth
in the Maryland State Board of Cosmetology
and offers reciprocity in 38 states.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
To prepare students to sit the state examination
for licensure as an esthetician in the state
of Maryland. To develop in students the
skills necessary to become successful as
an esthetician in the state of Maryland
and to meet the needs of the skin care community
which they will enter. Students will have
a thorough working knowledge of the structure
and function of skin, provide preventative
care for the skin, and offer treatments
to keep the skin healthy and attractive.
This program will train students to perform
facials manually and with the aid of machines.
It will offer comprehensive training on
the application of corrective, camouflage,
and daily enhancement makeup, and how to
safely remove superfluous hair on the face
through epilation. .
Career Services
All SEG campuses staff a Career Services
Department. We are here to assist you in
achieving your goals. Whether you are interested
in seeing the world and working aboard a
cruise ship or if you would prefer a land
based position, the Career Services Department
at SEG has built a relationship with some
of the most successful employers in the
industry. Career Development classes are
integrated into all of our programs and
include resume writing and interviewing
strategies. Additionally, career fairs are
held annually and are open to all SEG graduates.
This service is available to all SEG graduates
at any of our seven locations.
