Our Programs

Cosmetology

Our most popular course can be completed in as little as 10 months for a full time student. The program covers a study of the basic principles of cosmetology, including an understanding of the chemistry of the hair and practical applications. It is a well rounded program covering all phases of cosmetology and will prepare you for a career as a licensed Cosmetologist. A license in Cosmetology is not limited to a career in the salon. You could work in Television/Film as a stylist, be a platform stylist for a major hair care corporation or even own your own salon. Our highly qualified instructors are dedicated to teaching you not only the basics, but the most recent and updated techniques as well.

Barber and Barber Instructor Courses

With our Master Barber program, we offer a new age cirriculum combined with a traditonal hands-on learning program. Our haircut and grooming for men and women is our key for success. We teach old school techniques of clipper cutting, hot towel facials, and straight razor shaves that meld with customer service, state laws and barber shop management. Our goal is for our students to be confident and comfortable with any service they perform. As with all programs at Genesis Career College, we offer day and night classes and are very flexible with your busy schedule.

Barber Instructor Program: Our Instructor program is offered to licensed barber professionals that desire a career in teaching. Individuals in this program will learn techniques such as lesson planning and student motivation, course outlining and development, clinical floor application, classroom management and much more. As with all programs at Genesis Career College, we offer day and night classes and are very flexible with your busy schedule.

Nail Technology

The Nail Technology course takes approximately 5-6 months for a full time student to complete. This course covers the basic principles of manicuring, including an understanding of the hands and feet as well the practical application of artificial nails. You will be prepared with the manicure and pedicure skills necessary for employment in a beauty salon or nail shop. Our qualified instructors provide a well rounded program that includes lectures, hands-on demonstrations and student participation.

Instructor Trainee

The Instructor Trainee course is a study of the teaching techniques required of Licensed Cosmetologists to become effective instructors. Topics covered include development of lesson plans, teaching techniques, motivation skills, class schedules and student counseling.

Enrollment Requirements

To be considered for admittance into any of our programs, you must be at least 16 years old and possess either a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
