Programs
Cosmetology
The benefits of professional Cosmetology training from Sunstate Academy are numerous. Students receive professional kits that contain all of the items they need during their training, as well as the opportunity to experience what it's like working in a real salon, learning the importance of up-selling, retaining clients and professional behavior.

At the end of the program, cosmetology students should possess the skills and knowledge necessary to take the State Board exam.

Nail Technician
Interested in becoming a Licensed Nail Technician? If you're a people person and enjoy giving people manicures, why not turn something you enjoy into a career by becoming a Nail Technician?

At Sunstate Academy, experienced instructors will train you to give professional manicures, giving you the grounding you need to pass state certification and obtain a job as a Nail Technician. A combination of theory and the practical experience of working on actual customers in a clinic make Sunstate Academy a great place to obtain your career training!

Massage Therapy

Do you enjoy making a difference in people's lives?  Start training to become a licensed massage therapist at Sunstate Academy.  You will learn about industry techniques and trends and develop your understanding of the human body.  Upon completion of our program, you can have the hands-on training and textbook knowledge that is necessary to succeed in this field.

Spa Therapies (Massage and Skin)

Do you enjoy the serenity of a spa-like environment? Then make it your work environment. The Spa Therapies program combines skin care and massage therapy curriculum, which prepares students for a career in the health, wellness & beauty industry.

The Spa Therapies program prepares graduates for entry-level employment in the massage and skin care fields. In addition to the core skin care and massage therapy courses, students learn business and client development techniques. Upon graduation from Sunstate Academy's Spa Therapies program and state licensure, students will be prepared for employment positions in the massage and skin care fields.

Full Specialty (Skin and Nails)

Are you interested in a variety of aspects within the health, wellness and beauty industry? If so, this program is right up your alley! The Full Specialty program at Sunstate Academy combines the skin care techniques and nail technologies to provide the student with an array of training for the health, wellness and beauty industry.

The graduate of the Full Specialty program will be cross-trained as a facial specialist and nail technician, specializing in both natural and artificial nails. By completing this program, graduates will be prepared to register with the State of Florida to obtain their Full Specialist Registration.

Admission Procedures
Each applicant must have a high school diploma (or its equivalent) or be over the age of sixteen. Sunstate Academy is a recognized participant in programs of student financial assistance supported by the U.S. Department of Education. The objective of these programs is to provide funds for students who wouldn't otherwise be able to continue with their education.

Spanish speaking classes are not offered at this time at Sunstate Academy
