Programs
Cosmetology
The benefits of professional Cosmetology training from Sunstate Academy are numerous. Students receive professional kits that contain all of the items they need during their training, as well as the opportunity to experience what it's like working in a real salon, learning the importance of up-selling, retaining clients and professional behavior. 

At the end of the program, cosmetology students should possess the skills and knowledge necessary to take the Florida Cosmetology State Board exam.

Barbering-Cosmetology Combo
Sunstate Academy also offers a barbering-cosmetology combination program. This program provides the foundation of the cosmetology program with additional studies focused on barbering. Students will learn how to perform men's haircuts and styles, shaving, mustache and beard trimming, and the proper fitting, styling and care of hairpieces.

Nail Technician
Interested in becoming a professional Nail Technician? If you're a people person and enjoy giving people manicures, why not turn something you enjoy into a career by becoming a Nail Technician?

At Sunstate Academy, experienced instructors will train you to give professional manicures, giving you the grounding you need to pass state certification and obtain a job as a licensed Nail Technician. A combination of theory and the practical experience of working on actual customers in a clinic make Sunstate Academy a great place to obtain your career training!

Admission Procedures
Each applicant must have a high school diploma (or its equivalent) or be over the age of sixteen or demonstrate the Ability to Benefit from the program. Sunstate Academy is a recognized participant in programs of student financial assistance supported by the U.S. Department of Education. The objective of these programs is to provide funds for students who wouldn't otherwise be able to continue with their education.

Spanish speaking classes are not offered at this time at Sunstate Academy
