You can be a licensed barber in only 6 months of Barber School training. Over 60 barber shops and salons are eagerly waiting for our graduates!

A New Opportunity, A New Career
In early 2007 the Utah Legislature signed into law the availability of the Utah Barber License. Individuals are no longer required to acquire a combined Barbering & Cosmetology license in order to practice Barbering. As of 2007 Utah now has a Barbering license that allows an individual to specifically practice Barbering.

Barbering is the art that focuses on the skill of cutting hair. It is a refined technique involving the skilled use of hair clippers, styling razors, shears and combs. It has been an art form that has been passed down through the ages. The Barber School is dedicated to that tradition.

The School
The Barber school is dedicated to providing you with the finest education possible. We have a state of the art facility to provide you with the greatest tools to assist you in becoming skilled in the art of Barbering.

Instructors
Learn from the most qualified instructors in the state. Each of our instructors is a Master Barber. Together they bring over 100 years of combined teaching and real world experience to The Barber School.

Our Director is a seasoned instructor with over 35 years teaching Cosmetology and Barbering.


Our staff has significant real world experience, including salon ownership, product development for Redken, and expert skills in hair clipper techniques, styling razor, shear & comb techniques.

Our head instructor was appointed by the Governor of Utah to sit on the State Board of Cosmetology / Barber examiners for numerous years, and is the recipient of many awards from numerous hair competitions, including the coveted Intermountain Men's Hair Styling Grand Champion award.
